Good-bye little boy..
He may not have been the best behaiving dog, he wasn't the most balanced dog, and he barked..a lot. But Scooter was part of the family and will be sadly missed. Yesterday was one week since he closed his eyes for good. It still brings tears to my eyes and I wish it didn't have to end that way even though it was for the best. There is no replacement for him. He had his bad moments but he had his good ones too. I'll miss him for a very long time. I'll never forget him.

Teagan's first haircut
Oops!
I'd love to say my life has been hectic or crazy busy with more important things, but the truth is I forgot about my blog..
I guess some stuff has happened. I moved back home a few weeks ago. It was such a hard decision, but the best way to save money right now. However, I just purchased a Macbook so it will take a month's pay out of my savings..he he.
It's not so bad at home, I have my own little "suite" downstairs. Suki hates Scooter and she chases him around the house, quite entertaining.
I'm still at my glorious job at Wardrop Engineering. Since my old position was replaced by a "report coordinator" I have been bumped to main reception. On a daily basis I answer the phone and try to figure out who the hell these people are wanting to speak to. Take yesterday for example.
me: good morning, Wardrop
caller: may I speak to Mr. Mike please (imagine a Borat accent)
me: what's his first name?
caller: Mike
me: uhh what's his last name? we have more than one mike
caller: Morgan
me: we don't have a Mike Morgan
caller: i only know him as Mr. mike, i have urgent instructions please transfer me
me: i can't transfer you because i don't know who you are looking for
His phone finally cut out, or he hung up out of frustration - I am not sure. He ended up calling back with the correct extension number. Seriously? Who asks for Mr. Mike? Hilarious.
What else, what else? Ah yes, Jackie's stagette! So much fun! I think the less you go to the bar, the more fun you actually have once you're there. Highlights of the night included Mother-of-the-bride almost getting a fine at the Pat for having a drink outside, Joleen and Jenn getting left at bars, and the groom from the stag falling on the dance floor at the Long Branch. Too freaking funny, I bet he felt that next morning. Good times had by all! One thing..never get Jackie's mom to sneak alcohol out of the bar. She was so nervous she dropped her bottle! Thank god my beer was safe in her arms.
Two weeks until Jackie and Eric's wedding. It's going to be blast, can't wait to see everyone :)

Decisions Decisions..
Today I made a super hard decision. I've decided to move back home and pay some debt off. I'm throwing away more than $1000/month on rent plus all of my bills. I can't live in debt anymore, it is really stressing me out.
They let another admin go today at work. She covered the reception area so that leaves yours truly (moi) to do reception now. Although I should be thankful I still have my job, I can't help but hate the fact that I have to be up there now. I didn't need to spend $6000 on school to answer phones, order supplies, and book travel. It's ridiculous. If my job wasn't "replaced" in the O&G division I would have nothing to worry about right now. It's so complicated. I've never been so stressed out in my life!
Needless to say, because of my future living arrangements I will not be adopting another kitty. I feel horrible because on Sunday I went and picked one out. Her name is Tia and she is at the SPCA. All I can do is hope someone likes her and takes her home. No more checking out the SPCA website for me!! :(

Sundays with Suki
I adopted a cat, Suki, from the SPCA in December. I thought having a little kitty around would make for good company. I fell for her cute little face when I saw her on the website and knew she was the one I wanted! The first few days were great. She cuddled, slept, cuddled, and slept some more. I now realize those were sleepy winter days! The season is Spring and Suki wants outside! She wakes up anywhere between 4:30 and 5:30, climbs my bedroom furniture, meows and meows, and scratches her claws down my closet doors. There are days I really regret getting her.
However, there are days where that stuff doesn't matter and she reminds me why I got her in the first place. Today was one of those days. I bought her a tunnel since she seems so bored lately. After playing in her tunnel for a good hour, she then decided we would play hide-and-seek. She picked a good spot though! God knows I only drag that mop bucket out of the storage room once a month!

We Made You
Ok, so I know Eminem makes fun of people throughout this whole song, but this video cracks me up. He looks HILARIOUS in the Star Trek costume!!!

Twilight
First off, I just want to say this is my own opinion, and I'm not bashing anyone who enjoyed these books or the movie.
The book...
I'll be honest, I was excited to read this book. Not only because of all the hype, but also because I wanted to really get into a great book. Call me a nerd, but I absolutely love new books. I'm a fan of shiny covers and that "new book scent" of the pages.
I begin reading. The first few chapters are kind of boring. Nothing is really grabbing my attention. I have no problem putting the book down. I tell my friend at work that that I don't see what is so great. She agrees and tells me it doesn't get much better. However, I want to give the book a fair chance so I keep on reading. It takes until page 385 (yes I said page 385) for something exciting to happen. I'm talking about the part where they play baseball during the storm and meet the bad vampires. Unfortunately, I am bored again after a few pages. This continues on and off until I turn the last page. I was disappointed.
The movie...
This movie made me giggle. The first thing I need to stress is I found the acting horrible! The whole time I was watching it reminded me of a TV movie. The characters were completely different than what I imagined while reading. This is a common faux pas when movies are created from books. I am sure they did the best they could? I questioned if any of them even read the book. Not only did the vampire characters disappoint, but so did the characters of Bella, her parents, and her friends as well. Perhaps I am too picky? Let's keep in mind though, this series is aimed at a younger generation so I believe my opinions to be fair.
If I had to choose one, I choose the book. I read New Moon as well (second of the series) and have to say, I have no desire to read the remaining two.
I am sorry Twilight lovers. I just wasn't impressed with Stephanie Meyer's writing, nor was I impressed with any of the acting.
